I write down my goals in a 2010 goals booklet. It is always in my wallet and I review it regularly. It keeps me focused on what really matters to me.

Enjoy and share,
Ronny

I love this - even though I still have commutes to and from school and my internship, I often find that the very short walk to/from the Metro on either end isn't sufficient. So lately, I've been trying to think of ways to help make the transition. Taking a longer walk, listening to music, getting a froofee coffee, or even running by the CVS to get toilet paper all seem to help. :)

I'm curious to hear what practice you adopt and how it works for you.

What a wonderful way to take care of ourselves with a healthy ritual! Thanks for posting this idea - I think a walking 'commute' like this with my dogs would be a perfect start to the day for all of us.

Great article. As a CPA, I always tell my clients that if you are doing work that has no added value to your business (like accounting, let's be honest, many things in the accounting function do not add value to your business, do your clients/customers care if you have pretty monthly reports) and you could spend the time, getting new and better clients, networking, or doing value added work, then it is time to hire someone to do the non-value added work. Find someone you trust and that is willing to work with you in growing your business in relation to fees, etc..and someone who realizes the long term nature and vision of the relationship and you will be far happier than someone who prepares your taxes. Make sure your specialist is adding value to your business by providing the information and advice YOU need to succeed....Excellent blog...from one of 'these' specialists, a sincere thank you for understanding the value of what we do.

Thanks!

Lovely advice! I do this too. I also find that for work it helps me to sit down once a month and lay out weekly and sometimes daily goals so that I know what to put on those daily to-do lists.

     Thanks!
